It is said that there is nothing called "on the spot death". medical practitioners believe that 98% of the injured can be saved if medical help is given in time.
Golden hour concept, medically it is proven that first one hour after the accident is most critical & if medical help reaches within this hour, most injured can be saved.
Well equipped ambulances, with a trained staff & core practitioners are required along highway network.
There should be a machinery comprising of health department, highway authorities, transport authorities , police & ngos so that relief can be provided to accident victims on the spot.
Transport authorities should ensure that proper persons get the driving licence and their physical and mental well being is tested at regular intervals.

During monsoon, due to heavy rainfall & traffic jams due to land slides, additional bandobast, motorcycles, cranes, etc. are provided on the mumbai-pune expressway & mumbai-nashik highway.

During ganpati festival additional manpower, cranes and walkie-talkiesare provided to the TAPs on mumbai-goa national highway no. 17.
